BLAYDON RFC BALL GIRLS AND BALL BOYS PLAN FOR SEASON 2024/2025

Please see below requirements for ball persons for first team match days. Please could each age group confirm by Wednesday of the week of their match.
• [x] Players to arrive 20 minutes before kick-off (please check times in advance as they may change).
• [x] A minimum of 6 players will be needed.
• [x] Meet near clubhouse entrance. before the match starts collect bibs from groundsman or club duty officer, all players should wear bibs when being ballgirl or ballboy.
ROLE
• [x] Ballgirls / Ballboys will be split into 1 either side of the 22 and 1 either side of the halfway line.
• [x] When ball goes out for lineout give ball to hooker or place on the area where the touch judge has marked for the throw. Retrieve ball that was kicked out.
• [x] When a penalty kick or conversion is successful place one ball on centre spot after kick has been completed and retrieve kicked ball to the quarter who are a ball down.
• [x] If a towel is available try to keep balls dry.
• [x] If playing with the balls be very careful to not enter the pitch or drop balls onto the pitch!!
• [x] Enjoy the half time snacks and enjoy the match.
